Lesson learnt today (ok more like yesterday): Never leave your FB account in the open. And I did. Now I'm getting endless birthday wishes since a friend of mine decided to change a few things, eg. birthdate and gender, plus the usual wall spam. But it is an eye-opener though, you're able to see the enormous amount of people who don't have a clue about your out-of-the-womb anniversary, including those you're pretty close to.

Nothing new anyway. Back and forth to and from camp every 2 days, staring at the internet most of the time and stumbling into quirky and interesting websites, gym and never-ending Starbucks visits. Yes, I'm a Starbucks addict. Tried their new Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha frapp. The ultimate diabetes inducer. Super sweet and I waited 20 mins for it. At least I got a free complimentary drink for my next visit to make up for the long wait.

As of now 78 people have wished me happy birthday. Ah, I pity them but wanna smack them at the same time!

Oh, I've added a few links in the sidebar:)

I guess the last time I updated this blog, dinosaurs roamed the earth. Ok maybe i'm exaggerating way too much but I hope you get it. Spent half of the day watching sermons from different cds as 'asked' by my mother. I guess weekly religious classes for 11 years aren't enough.

And that brings me to today's crux of this post: Education. As you all know this is a hot issue in Singapore. In this case, formal education. Our obsession for the best grades and top schools coupled with and a growing army of tutors, amateur and professional, taking advantage of this and offering high fees. In order to survive in this day and age, a degree is required. And as we chase this, we learn various subjects. I don't get one thing: why study so may subjects when ultimately, we're only learning one subject in university? What's the point of getting an A for something you'll forget in the near future? And remember, we paid loads of money in order to reach that 'goal'.

But of course I do understand there is one advantage of this. you're able to realise your potential across various disciplines. What if you aspire to be a businessman since young, but after trying a science subject, you found out that you'd be better off in the R&D industry?

Education is so complex and I don't have much time to rant more about it, so i'll leave you guys to ponder about it.

Well anyway I guess this blog needs a huge makeover.....

Spent this time's off at home. Soooo boring. I'm deprived of social contact now. Anyway what's new? Steve Jobs. Well he left this world today, at age 56. But, not in a negative tone, it's somewhat expected. It's a well-known fact that he's been battling pancreatic cancer and to this particular person, he lost it. We've seen various survivors of cancer, but this time that chance of life wasn't presented to one of the most respected men in today's world. Too bad I'm not really into his company though........
