Life's been a mundane cycle lately but I'm still not looking forward to NS though. We've went through phases in life where we're tired or sick of something for each phase. This unemployed life of mine is getting real boring. Speaking about phases, ever felt that we're sick of home-cooked food? Yeah that happened to me before. Before that I never thought it would happen to me, like how can you be tired of delicious food from your mom? Well I'm glad that's over.

Ok moving on to mothers. Yes the phase where I'm sick of something is related to that very person who gave birth to me. Nags and constant requests are on the rise. If she's angry about something external (as in outside the family), it'll soon be a family issue, and then other unrelated stuff is brought up. Due to this I dread weekends and public holidays because they're her off days. Labour Day, being on a Sunday, is a damn good thing. I do love her, but that 'love meter' has a low mercury level now. I guess most teenagers have or is currently experiencing the same thing now. How do I keep my cool during all those nags? I just remind myself that I came out from her. That actually helps most of the time.

Anyway it's a week left to that dreaded day....and by now you should know that images posted here has no relation with its corresponding blog post muahahahaha.

and I'll remove the tag box. Stupid malware bots.....

gym, gym, Orchard, gym, Jalan Kayu, sucked 5 years' worth of dust from the computer's insides with a drinking straw attached to a vacuum cleaner, NUS application switched to processing mode.

Staring into space.....ok more like the Esprit store in front of the Starbucks I'm in now at Wisma Atria. Just finished the aptitude test at NUS in the morning and now I'm waiting for Fahmi. The Birkenstock Davis clogs which I've been wanting aren't available in my size anymore and that's the reason why I'm at Orchard in the first place. Kinds wasted as the shoes are sold at a price lower than what online shops offer, which is surprising in Singapore's case. Battery's going flat now, I'll continue on this soon.....

Attended a buffet 2 days ago for the Windows Phone promoters at Marina Bay Sands (again!) at some supposedly-popular restaurant from Korea called Todai. The food was alright but I felt restricted because the food isn't halal in the first place. oops. Well if Microsoft's giving you a treat, why not accept it? The desserts were awesome but too bad I was already too full to have a second helping of creme brulee etc. I miss my job even more now........

Need to stock up on the required stationery for tomorrow's aptitude test. Arrgghhh I'm quite nervous. Gonna compete with 372 others, of which 4 I personally know.

and it's Friday! FUN FUN FUN FUN

*warning: first paragraph is for geeks only

Flashed (to noobs: it means manually changing a device's software) my slowly-lagging-up Galaxy S to the leaked Android 2.3.3 ROM. It's much speedier and smoother despite a lower Quadrant score of 972 as compared to 1756 when the phone was on 2.2 with a lag fix. As expected, leaked ROMs like this have their set of problems. Thankfully there's only one in my case. My SIM contacts won't show up. Should be due to a bug because it's stated that the SIM is almost full. So technically I've lost all contacts, save for a few due to the fact that I keep my smses, till I flash to the official ROM, hopefully sometime next week.

Other than that, I went to Haji Lane/Marina Bay with Tiara and Aisyah, and Atiqa and Safiah on a day last and this week respectively. Haha I felt like a tour guide to these girls. And I skipped gym yesterday. urrggghhh.

After all that stress over the months about work and uni application, Friday (fun fun fun fun muahahaha) turned out to be a pretty good day. My salary for March totaled up to $2550 (not bad for a phone promoter) and I finally got something I hoped for: a letter from NUS stating that I have to sit for an aptitude test for the architecture course.

Now's the perfect time to continue on the post I've procrastinated on why I'm interested in taking up the course:
-I stare at new buildings like they're hot girls. Kinda creepy, I know. I always think why such structures are built in such a way and what inspired architects to give them a particular design. Because of this, I stare at Punggol (every morning when I was on my way to school) and any construction site I pass by.
-I've been secretly interested in architecture since primary school. Primary 2 to be exact. I was staying over at my aunty's house and had nothing else to do, so I just took a few pieces of A4 paper and drew what I view as 'condos', inspired by my cousins living in one. Drew a few every year till 2008.
-I drew buildings on my notes, exercise books, etc. whenever I became bored in class. Eg. Physics in Sec 3, Lit in Sec 2 and GP in JC:)
-Why 2008? That's when Sims 2 got released. Yes, the game is all about being God by controlling the lives of Sims and building houses for them. But to me that allowed me to exercise my creativity and put my thoughts into 'virtual reality'. So till today, I've been building skyscrapers in the game. It's somewhat a disadvantage as well because I didn't allow myself to improve on my dismal drawing skills....

So now you know.

And here's a few random buildings I've built using Sims 2. Shitty or awesome, you decide:)

more will be added soon.....
