The last week of term 2 was alright. GP prelim was horrible, not due to the questions but the irritating paraphrasing! On the good side however, I finally wrote more than 1 paragraph for AQ.....ok by JC2 I should have tackled this problem already but shit happens. I skipped sports day for the YOG sports conference at VJC. 80 minutes of mass 'dancing', screaming secondary school students once they hear any Justin Bieber song, and a buffet. I felt stupid at first for skipping sports day but once I heard that The Fire Fight couldn't play for nuts, I guess it was a pretty good trade-off I made.

Spent the night at Aliff's house!

Tests, tests and more tests. That summed up last week. At least the principal surprised us 'STAR-lets' with chocolates at the end of the last STAR class for the term. I hope I won't be required to attend it next term! Urrgggh, the only solution is to study. The A-level curriculum is pretty daunting, you know. Memorising and regurgitating are things of the past, now we're required to apply our thinking skills as well. It's no use memorising everything if you answer a question wrongly. Well, this applies to most of us. As for the smart ones, I have no clue how they simply memorise and still can score high grades!

Moving on from school, Aliff, Hemant, Jon, Nat and I watched Shrek Forever After yesterday. If you think the previous installments of the Shrek series were funny enough, you're wrong. I'm not going to give any spoilers, and like other movies I've mentioned before, just go watch it!!! Oh, if you're wondering why I randomly typed Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo and Gingerbread as my FB status, they're actually progressive versions of the Android OS.

Finally after a few months, I watched a movie...in a theatre! Watched Ironman 2 with Aliff and it was definitely a great movie. I planned to hand him my 'hairdryer' earphones but it ended up as a whole day out. Someone (i forgot who) posted on FB that it was full of great visual effects complemented by a bad storyline, but I totally disagree. Scarlett Johansson's part looked as if it's from a different movie altogether! I thought she was hot enough when I watched The Island, but she fully caught my attention this time:) MUAHAHA go watch it!

My throat's irritating me!

Joined Aliff for the 99-day countdown to the YOG at Scape after school on Friday. I found it weird that there was an airport-style security check at the entrance, till the ministers were introduced to the crowd 20 minutes into the event. Finally saw Lee Hsien Loong without an LCD panel in front of me. LOL! The event brought back memories when I volunteered for the YOG Friendship Camp and now I feel like doing it again for the actual games itself! But with A Level preparations in the way, I guess I have to give it a miss:(

Went out to Changi Airport today with AN, Nabisah and Firdaus to study, and it was quite fun and productive actually. Managed to cram Econs, Geography and Maths despite the rain (we studied outside McDonalds) and me showing YouTube videos as usual. Anyway, for the past week, I've been stuck with a huge mass of phlegm in my throat, so I've been spitting countless times! I'm definitely a phlegm factory. I have to run the sink whenever I sneeze or feel that something's coming out. Well based on my experience, this works, so it explains why I'm not sick...yet. Haha for once, spitting is beneficial for you, but never do it in public like that old aunty I saw earlier today. Why must this always happen at this time of the year? Urgggh. Off to Geography now.

Oh God, school has been so intensive lately that I always arrive home at night nowadays and as you can see, I update the blog less frequently now. What a way to 'celebrate' my 200th post. Thanks to STAR, I'm forced to study now, like how firms are forced to be more efficient when they face more competition.

The event that's probably worth mentioning this week was about helping this guy recover his thumbdrive. Found it on the floor while I was at a McDonalds nearby my home and being the 'good' person that I am, I opened the files to find any form of particulars. That's when I started panicking. The thumbdrive was full of projects and there's a thesis inside. Its owner turned out to be a NUS Microbiology honours student. Thank God that I found his curriculum vitae and I managed to contact him. Passed it to him on the next night, after school. "Really thanks a lot," he said. The compliment was enough, but don't you get the feeling of wanting something in return? Meh, in addition to the douchebags, there's loads of greedy people, like me.

Anyway, I can't wait to go to Vietnam for OCIP! It'll definitely be a humbling experience. The disadvantaged do not have the luxury of staring and wasting time in front of the computer you know.

Christina Aguilera's Not Myself Tonight video was just released a few hours ago. It's super raunchy. Go check it out on Dailymotion instead of YouTube. As usual, Sony Music, like other entertainment empires, are currently having a crackdown on copyright-infringing music videos.

It'll be 3 months soon. Being too clingy obviously isn't the only reason now. Damn douchebags.
