I don't like bullshit, but I like RedBull - Lil Wayne

meh I've broken my promise of having a full post by yesterday. Anyway..............
Hmmm what happened over the week? Oh, YOG ended on the 26th. It's actually kinda sad that it's over after all the hype. I wanted to volunteer at first but decided not to, thinking that it'll affect my studies. Apparently not because whatever school stuff we went through during the YOG period wasn't that heavy. At least I contributed by being part of the YOG Friendship Camp in December last year for 2 days. Saw quite a few athletes while I was out. Seriously, the place to find them is in MRT trains. Saw the Japanese ones and that redhead Canadian fencer who came out in the news a few days before. Saw a few of the Swedish athletes at Orchard, ironically clad in Li-Ning sports apparel. I don't understand why some complain that the whole event was mismanaged. All seemed to be well, albeit the budget being exceeded 4 times more. Moreover, it's the very first YOG, so of course its awareness would be fairly low around other parts of the world. I'm looking forward to what Nanjing has up its sleeves though in 2014. After Beijing 2008, I have a feeling we'll definitely pale in comparison.
Other than that I've been draining my savings on breaking fast outside with my friends. Speaking of fasting, it's been 19 days already. That's pretty damn quick actually. I've been spending a lot of time in school lately, so that could be a reason why time flew pretty fast. For some reason I keep missing breakfast on Sundays since Ramadan started. Imagine the 'torture' of having to endure stomach-growling hours from dinner on the previous Saturday till 7.15 pm on Sunday. That's 24 hours! That makes WorldVision's annual Famine event like a piece of cake. And they get to drink sugared water!
How about my studies? Yes, I've been neglecting them. 2 weeks away (WHAT??) from Prelim 2 and the only proper effort I made was studying at Changi Airport overnight from 10pm on Saturday till 6am today. Baaahhhh I'm screwed.
