Just got back from a barbecue for the MLL students at Bukit Batok. I felt like a tourist on the way there because I've never walked more than 100m in that area before. Thanks to my 'super' directional skills I didn't get lost. The bbq was alright. Served the others like a waiter for the first 2 hours and fanned the charcoal till I have a blister on my left hand. The perfect match for the lonely corn on my right hand....... On the other hand (pun intended!), my ranking points for prelims totaled up to 42 and that means I've 'graduated' from STAR! Wouldn't make a difference though as I'm considering to stay back in school to study, given that it's 1 month away from Prelim 2.

I swear Boon Lay is turning into Little India 2. That new park near the central area is full of them, sitting anywhere as they like. Much like Singapore's turning into one huge Chinatown. Ok that sounds a bit weird as Singapore is 70% Chinese but I'm sure the Singaporean ones see themselves as a separate entity from China. What do you think of the expanding foreign population here? In my opinion, at any one time 20% of the passengers in an MRT train are foreigners. Sometimes I feel that I'm not in my country, don't you feel likewise?

Moving on, it'll be one hell of a week. In a good way I suppose? National Day on 9 August, Ramadan starts 2 days after and YOG on the 14th. The suffering will begin. No, I'm not talking about fasting, it's the 8 cups of water I'll be forcing myself to drink in the morning and having to endure a full bladder on the way to school......
